Great bars, small issue

I want to start off by saying the bars are fantastic and they look amazing. I'm writing this review to share my lessons learned to possibly help someone else and give a recommendation to viking bags themselves. I have a 2013 sportster 48. I am mechanically sound but I had to learn a few things the hard way. DO NOT feed your electrical wires with the bars on the bike. I made that mistake. Because the exit hole is on tge bottom I laid my bars flat not realizing they were resting on the fork caps (not sure what you call them. And so when I tightened the bar down and raised it I took a line of paint off both ends because with the bar being so thick there's no getting around them being on the fork caps. Even when you tighten them down they still don't sit right in the brackets themselves and you have to force the bar in the bracket pretty aggressively because of the leveling difference better the mounting bracket, the fork caps, and the thickness of the bar. The only way I could think of to help with this is if viking bags made a small indention above the caps so the bars rest in the bracket like they should instead of on top of the fork caps. When it came to wiring them, I found the wire to be fairly pointless in my personal opinion. It's difficult to get that wire to pull a full set of good stiffer wires. If they are cheaper Chinese wires that are really flexible then maybe it would work. The method I used was I took the caps out of the holes on the corners, fed a 16g wire up in there and taped them all together. Be sure to tape your ends to your connectors so you don't break any like i did. Made my process a few days longer than it needed to be. But after I got tge wires through that side hole I just stuck them back through 1 at a time to the center hole and that worked the best for me. The only reason I'm giving a 4 star instead of 5 is because the thickness of the bars themselves make it to where the bar site about an 1/8 above the mounting bracket because it sits on the fork caps instead. If there was a sort of indention over the fork caps so it didn't rest on them it wouldn't be an issue. Or they could sort of taper the pipe thickness to be thinner at the bottom and get thicker as it goes up. I would return them but I damaged them at my own fault so I'm not pinning that on VB. However i do think they should address the issue I stated so others don't run into the same issue I had. The bars should not be resting on the fork caps. Again great high quality bars. I love them. I juat want people to know what theyll possibly deal with if we share the same bike. I'll post pictures of what I'm speaking of. So far I really like this company and have bags on the way from you guys. You have awesome products and I love your intuitiveness with your designs.
