1. The Epic Launch of Harley’s Fast Johnnie Limited Collection
In May 2023, Harley Davidson added the Fast Johnnie motorcycles to its ongoing Enthusiast Lineup. Featuring striking celestial blue paint jobs with white muscle car-inspired racing stripes, these motorcycles have revived the muscle car culture in America. Initially, it was announced that the production would be restricted to 2,000 bikes worldwide. However, the company later corrected the number to 2,000 bikes for each model. The factory-installed special paint scheme is available for the Harley Davidson Road Glide ST, Harley Davidson Street Glide ST, and Harley Davidson Low Rider ST models.
2. Inspiration Behind Harley Davidson’s Fast Johnnie Motorcycles Design
Through these three iconic motorbike series, Harley Davidson has brought back the heroic stories of the racing community. One look is enough to tell that the Fast Johnnie paint job was inspired by the high-performance racing cars and pony cars from the 1960s and 70s.
The white stripes over the blue base creates a stark contrast against the blacked-out parts. Including the name Fast Johnnie for the collection and the symbolic piglet character on the tank graphics is Harley’s unique way of paying homage to the renowned H-D Wrecking Crew, the racer Ray Weishaar, and the Harley Owners’ Group (HOG).
The piglet mascot on the left side of Fast Johnnie models is also applied on Harely Screamin’ Eagle motorcycles often featured in the MotoAmerica King of the Baggers event. Thanks to this small logo, Harley Davidson has distinguished its epic baggers from racing cars and standard models.
According to Brad Richards, the Harley Davidson Vice President Design and Creative Director,
“The striping graphics provide a powerful signal to the generation that came of age during this era. The Celestial Blue base paint recalls a popular tone from the muscle car era. For the graphic striping, a custom white color was formulated to reflect the era authentically, executed in a thin-wide-thin pattern on top and sides of the motorcycle. The look is a nod to pure Americana.”

The Low Rider ST’s most notable features are its frame-mounted FXRT style fairing and 1,932 cc Milwaukee Eight 117 V-twin engine. The blacked-out West Coast styling combined with the Fast Johnnie paint job and graphics make this bike suited for almost all occasions. Compared to the other two baggers, the Low Rider ST has a lightweight Softail chassis that is easy to maneuver and perfect for power cruising and short weekend getaways. Its advanced safety features and full-color TFT infotainment screen help ensure a better riding experience.
5.2 Harley Davidson Road Glide ST
The 2023 Harley Fast Johnnie Road Glide ST is powered by a Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine that delivers 168 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. Known as the “King of Baggers,” the Road Glide ST features a shark-nosed frame-mounted fairing that eliminates wind buffeting and features two large speakers, a radio antenna, and an infotainment touchscreen. Except for the pushrod tubes, cylinder fins, and tappet covers, all of this bike’s parts are blacked out, including the front forks, exhaust, power train, handlebars, mirrors, and controls. Standard saddlebags and a plush suspension setup ensures better comfort on longer rides. You also have your choice of color-matched accessories available at local dealerships.
5.3 Harley Davidson Street Glide ST
The Street Glide ST is similar to the Road Glide with its build and powertrain. However, the front-mounted batwing fairing help distinguish it from the latter bike. The Street Glide ST has a powerful 1,932 cc Milwaukee-Eight engine suited for comfortable long-distance rides. The cornering rider safety features allow you to maintain speed when turning corners. Though custom Harley parts are readily available, the Street Glide ST is a complete package with all the features necessary to handle highway and wilderness cruising.
