1. 2025 Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 Takes Inspiration from Harley-Davidson Bobbers
Not sure whether motorcyclists have the same opinion, this new Benelli Bobber seems to include several styling features from the Harlely-Davidson Sportster S. If you look at this bike from a distance, it looks closer to a Harley Sportster S or the new Fat Bob.
However, the Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 is undoubtedly unique. Its side profiles make it look different and stunning.
2. 2025 Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 Seems Modern & Slightly Aggressive
Though the Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 is branded as a simplistic Bobber bike, it is also known as a mini-performance cruiser. This bike belongs to the existing Leoncino series, which includes roadster-style bikes. Nonetheless, the Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 is a completely different platform with a bit of aggression and sportiness.
Let’s have a deep look at the Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400. This bike looks modern, innovative, and elegant, as you would expect from a major motorcycle company.
3. What Makes the 2025 Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 a “Bobber Motorcycle”
The Leoncino Bobber 400 is a bobber with a solo flat rider seat, tail cowl, and fat tires. Talking about the Harley-Davidson-inspired elements, this Benelli Bobber features a Sportster S’ style headlight, flat handlebars, and bar-end side mirrors, which you would find on certain Indian and Harley Bobbers.
This is the first time Benelli has entered the Bobber market. From its appearance, the Leoncino Bobber 400 seems to be an impressive entry.
4. The All-New 386.5 cc 60° V-Twin Engine
It features a satisfactory 386.5 cc 60° V-Twin engine that evokes a Harley V-Twin vibe. This power plant delivers a decent horsepower of 24.66 hp at 8,000 rpm and a torque of 36.6 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The radiator installed behind the front wheel indicates that it is a liquid-cooled engine.
Benelli is not used to manufacturing a 60° V-twin engine. This is the first time the company has experimented with its engine technology to power this Bobber. The 386.5 cc V-twin engine has a 68 mm stroke and a 60 mm bore size.
What impresses riders the most about the Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 is the way the V-Twin is assembled. This isn’t usually how a V-Twin-powered cruiser-style bike looks.
The Benelli Bobber also features an elegantly installed two-into-one-into-two exhaust system. The stock blacked-out exhaust system provides a clean and neat look to this bike.
4.1 Euro-5+ Compliant
It is a Euro-5+ compliant engine that operates smoothly while maintaining the best emission standards currently implemented in environment-conscious regions.
5. Belt Final Drive
The Leoncino Bobber 400 is equipped with belt drive to power the rear wheel, which is uncommon on such a small-capacity cruiser motorcycle. The belt's final drive gives this bike a better fit and finish.
6. For Beginners
The intention behind manufacturing this bike is to attract riders who are more inclined towards bobber bikes. Also, there is a gap in the entry-level bobber market that Benelli wants to cover with the all-new 2025 Benelli Bobber 400.
Also, considering the styling elements hint towards Harley and Indian Motorcycles, it is most likely to grab American riders’ attention.
7. Iconic Harley-Davidson-Styled Air Intake
Another Harley-Davidson-inspired feature that grabs the attention is the air breather installed on the right-hand side of the Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400.
There may be several good reasons and advantages to Benelli's choice to install such an iconic Harley-style air intake.
First, this iconic air intake makes the air filter easily accessible for maintenance purposes.
Secondly, the Leoncino Bobber 400’s powertrain gives a true legendary Milwaukee-Eight vibe.
8. 2025 Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400’s Ergonomics
Ergonomically, the all-new 2025 Benelli Bobber 400 is as comfortable as you would expect from a bobber motorcycle. The seat installed looks quite slim and conventional. However, it is installed in a modern way to ensure a good finish.
The footrests installed are forward-mounted, offering decent legroom to riders.
The handlebars are low mounted with a small sweptback angle, as you would find on most modern bobbers. Reaching the bars will not be a problem for average-sized and taller riders.
8.1 Low Seat Height and Weight
The Leoncino Bobber 400’s front end looks quite raked-out, giving a bit of an extended look to the bike. The stretched-out front end ensures a low seat height of only 28.7 inches (730 mm), which seems quite fine considering the size of the bike.
What makes this bike easily manageable and approachable is its low curb weight of only 180 kg (396.8 lbs).
Considering its low seat height, easily manageable weight, and small-capacity engine size, the Leoncino Bobber 400 seems to be an interesting package for beginners.
9. Basic Suspension
To keep the price low, this bike doesn’t seem to include the top-end tech package. The suspension is also quite basic. Both front forks and rear suspension are non-adjustable. Towards the front, there is a 35 mm inverted fork, and the rear end features twin external shock absorbers.
The front fork offers 4.92 inches of wheel travel. Meanwhile, the rear one offers 3.9 inches of wheel travel. The suspension setup may not sound premium, but it does a decent job of ensuring a smooth experience on the road.
10. Two Variants
The 2025 Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 will be available in two options. From the available pictures, we can see that there isn’t much difference between the two except the color and the passenger seat.
The black model features a small passenger seat as well, with upward bar-end side mirrors.
11. Small Round-Shaped Digital Display
In electronics, there is a small round-shape digital display installed on top of the handlebars’ triple clamp, providing clear information to riders.
12. The Iconic “Lion” Statue on the Front Fender
The 2025 Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 also features the iconic lion’s statue on the front sporty fender. For those who don’t know, “Leoncino” is an Italian term meaning “Lion’s Cub”.
13. 15 Liter Fuel Tank
The 2025 Leoncino Bobber 400 also features a freshly-designed, stylish 15-liter gas tank. The highlight of the gas tank is the iconic “Benelli” emblem on the gas tank, ensuring a premium vibe.
14. Price Not Revealed
Benelli is known to produce decent-quality, low-cost motorcycles. Though the price range of the all-new 2025 Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 has not been revealed yet, we can expect it to be low.
15. Set to Release in 2025
The company has not confirmed the release date. However, it is expected to arrive in the motorcycle market in 2025. Considering its class and category, the 2025 Benelli Leoncino Bobber 400 can compete with the Honda Rebel 300, Rebel 500, and the Kawasaki Eliminator.
