I was afraid that they would stick out to far, but they look amazing to me. I did trim one of the brackets to bring the front closer instead of a spacer in the back which would have set it out more. so the bags didn't flare out, now they are exactly like I wanted them.

I think my pictures explain how great they look on my 2021 HD Iron 1200 sportster !!

Installation at home was an all-day affair because we first had to install the License Plate and Turn Signal Relocation Kit to make room for the bags. The kit comes with all hardware needed, and a one-page instruction sheet. Luckily, we found an installation video on YouTube that helped us make sense of some things that we just couldn't visualize from reading the instructions. Hardware provided was sufficient at first, but the bags still moved a little too much; so, we ended up changing out some of the flange nuts (on the mounts inside the bags) with Nyloc nuts - MUCH more solid now with virtually no movement. Would have replaced all nuts with Nyloc, but once the tire was back on the bike (after relocating license plate and turn signal), it was impossible to get to the hard-to-reach places we didn’t have time to remove the tire again.

These bags are exactly what I needed to carry things on my trips - no more toting a backpack. I can comfortably fit enough supplies and clothing for a 1-2 night trip, provided I pack light and conserve space.
